Just discovered I’ve still got a great copy of this if anyone’s interested !
According to Andy Chew   DJMrC69) comments on YouTube, they pressed *2000* copies of this! Where the fuck are they all?!
Any number of things could have happened. Have heard stories about 100's of (now rare) 12"s being dumped en-mass in skips when they could not be shifted back in the day. Perhaps a distributor went into liquidation. I'm sure a lot got dumped simply because people didn't realize the potential value. In the late 90's you could walk into 2nd hand shops/vinyl exchanges in London and pick up all sorts of rarities for pennies in many cases, white labels especially. Nothing like discogs existed back then so no one really knew what was rare. There might even be boxes of this 12" still sitting in someones attic, undiscovered (and probably warped to f**k by recent hot summers).
i think is one of the memorial of old school for the rest of my live
One of my all time cherished vinyls. Bought this in 95 from vinyl exchange Manchester for £10 and still to this day sounds fresh. Big ups Andy chew and Mark hall ????????
Back in 2006 I went into a charity shop and found a large amount of old skool hardcore all brand new never been played. I mean a good couple of thousand. And in this lot was 4 of these Mainstream ep's not knowing what they was worth I put the first one on ebay and within 15 mins I had a mail from someone living in spain who offered me £500 for it so I snapped it up. I sold the other 3 copies for similar money one making 550 :-)) I found out that all the records I got was from a closed down shop from back in the day and been stored in a loft for years. All the tunes were winners and made a small fortune.
Most I saw this go for is 400 quid bit too steep for me but definately a classic in it's own right nice come down tuneage.
I actually made this tune with a real close pal of mine Mark Hall My Names Andy Chew we both lived in Salford Manchester at the time.... GREAT TIMES !! .... it makes me smile its still loved by so many people old school and new :)
Have you got the original dat...maybe you could repress it !!
Saw Mark Hall live Sat night july 9th 2016, awesome
Haven't got a copy lying around needing a new home have you?? ;-)
Beware!!!!! Bootlegs around!!! Imi92 is The seller!!!
Can't believe no one has made a comment on this record, after all Driving In The Beat is just quite simply awesome!!! A must have for any old skool addict with deep pockets!!!
