Sounds amazing, and has way less surface noise than my silver copy. The gold is a lot darker and deeper than my other gold colored records. (Picked up from the New York City pop up)

Interested in knowing how many of these there actually are. I managed to pick one up in Paris today and the guy behind the counter said they had received 300 but didn't speculate on whether they would get more tomorrow or Sunday. From the size of the queue (it was a 90 minute wait here), I expect those 300 have gone already.

I checked with the Sydney pop up and they advised they got 500 copies. Not sure about Tokyo or New York still though.

After reading the BBC article, 2044 seems to be about right. The Sheffield store was constantly stocked with gold vinyl. I purchased mine at around 14:00 and the queue wait time had been at least an hour all day. They were still selling them after 16:00 so maybe they actually have more?

I was in Berlin today and they had 400 vinyls there. I was told it's a limited run of 4000 gold vinyls worldwide.

Just read that BBC article - 2044 is an oddly specific number for one store. But suggests it's not as limited as they would have us believe then if there were 2000+ in Sheffield and about 300 in each of the others. Although in Paris they also were selling the silver vinyl, I can only imagine so that people going for the gold one this afternoon would be able to go away with something kind of limited.

BBC News reckon there are 2044 copies of the gold vinyl available in the UK. That sounds more like it, as I was in the Sheffield pop-up shop around 11.30 this morning and there were at least 300 copies on display and for sale, never mind how many they’d shifted prior to this.Just a shame the album is a bit meh...

I'm from the lads home village of High Green so was at the Sheffield store this morning queuing from 6:15am and was surprised I was only 14th in the queue. Anyway, listening to the local radio station it mentioned there were 1,500 copies but also said they were only available at the Sheffield store with other stores only stocking the silver vinyl version so presume they got there stories messed up and probably meant the gold version was only available at these pop up shops so maybe there are 300 available at each store.
